A Guide to a Nashville Bachelorette
In June of 2023, my sister planned an awesome bachelorette party for me in Nashville, Tennessee. Since she has lived there for a couple of years, I have had the chance to visit Nashville quite a bit. I knew that if I was going to have a bachelorette party, it would be in Nashville. Being a country music lover, it was the perfect place. If you are planning a bachelorette party, I highly recommend having it in the Music City. Read on to find helpful tips and planning ideas!
Time/Date: Nashville is becoming a popular location for bachelorette and bachelor parties. If the weather is nice, it is pretty much a given that it will be busy on the weekends. My bachelorette party was during CMA Fest which runs during the second weekend in June. It can get pretty warm, but it adds a lot more fun events and things to do. Otherwise, you can't go wrong picking any weekend in the summer, spring, or fall.
Lodging: Depending on your price range and number of people attending, hotels and VRBOs/Airbnbs can get pretty pricey close to downtown. I would recommend finding a place to stay that is not so close to downtown. We ended up staying in a cute VRBO in Leiper's Fork, Tennessee. It was about a 30 minute drive to get downtown.
Things to Do: This list could be never ending! There is so much to do in and around Nashville! This could vary for each person and what they do/do not like, so I will list what we did for my party.
~Visit surrounding cities: We explored downtown Franklin. A charming city with a rich history, the heart of the downtown has many cute shops and boutiques. We also got our nails done at a salon in Franklin. Leiper's Fork is really tiny, but it also had a few cute shops to see.
~CMA Fest: If you are a country music lover, you definitely need to go during CMA Fest. There are a lot more people than usual, but lots of fun things to do! There are free stages that are set up in different locations near Broadway that have live entertainment from a range of artists. Broadway is closed off so pedestrians can walk through the various vendors that are set up. They have free stuff and photo booths. FYI, they do have a clear bag policy if you decide to go into one of the stage areas. You will most likely have to pay for parking. I believe we paid less than $20 for a parking garage.
~Arrington Vineyards: A beautiful vineyard that almost always has live entertainment. There is plenty of space to lay a blanket on the grass and have a picnic. We brought in our own food to have a charcuterie board. I recommend whatever kind of wine slushy they have.
~Broadway: 4 blocks of bars and live music! There are so many unique bars and shops to see. Two of my favorites are Nudies and Luke Bryan's. It can get pretty busy and fill up quickly, so plan accordingly. Don't forget to walk up onto the pedestrian bridge to get an amazing view of the river and city!
~Murals: Nashville has so many cute and unique murals. For bachelorette parties, they are perfect for photo ops! 12 South and The Gulch have some popular ones, but you can find more as you explore!
Gifts/Favors: If you are trying to plan out fun gifts for the bride and those attending, I have some recommendations. My sister got us heart shaped sunglasses, and they were perfect for our photos! She also got us matching Nashville shirts from Target and clear fanny packs. You can put some basic necessities in the fanny packs like hair ties, sunscreen, lotion, Chapstick, Advil, etc. For the bride, a cute cowboy hat or cowboy boots fits in with the Nashville aesthetic!
Places to Eat: Another list that could go on forever! There are so many places to eat in and around Nashville. The number one place I always want to go to is Puckett's. It has amazing BBQ and southern cuisine. 5th & Broadway is a great place near Broadway that has over 20 different food options. There is plenty of seating, and each guest can go to a different eatery to choose what they like. This is a good option if you are starving and don't want to wait for service at any of the bars on Broadway.
Just a few extra details... the airport was really busy when we landed later in the evening because of CMA Fest. Plan accordingly for that if you are flying. My sister did all of the driving since she had her car. I'm not sure what the cost would be to rent a car or use an Uber, but I know that both options are available. Don't forget to come up with a cute slogan or name for your party! See the itinerary my sister created in Canva, and all of her clever, country sayings.
Hopefully you can Boot, Scootin', Boogie your way down to Nashville for a Nash Bash to remember!
